To the Congregation of Temple Baptist Church:
This week, the provincial government has made some major changes to the restrictions on churches. We will be able to meet again with no limits on attendance as long as we are able to maintain physical distancing and follow health protocols.
The board has decided that we will be re-opening for Sunday morning service on June 21 at 10:30am.
Please be aware that we are not returning to services as we were accustomed to having in the past. We still are not allowed to have congregational singing. Alternative activities are being considered. On June 21, we are excited to be honoring our grade 12 graduates in the service.
The Sunday morning experience will also be different from what we are used to. You will be asked to confirm that you are not sick. Entrance to the building will be restricted to the front door. Attendance will be taken for the purposes of contact tracing. Physical distancing will be required from non-family members.
We are trying to have live streaming of the service in place for June 21. This will allow those who are unable to attend in person to still be able to participate in the service.
Further details will be published next week.
On behalf of the board,
Sheldon Warkentin
